Magaly “Gally” Jiménez Baca is a proud Chicana and Nuevo Mexicana born and raised in the historic Martinez Town barrio of Albuquerque, New Mexico. This area is also home to several historic cemeteries, where she spent most of her childhood. It was here where her interest in her Chicana/o culture and Mexican/American traditions around identity, mental health, death, and community began. A passionate content creator, Gally’s work focuses on lifestyle, mental well-being, fashion, retro style, and beauty, using these platforms to express her deep appreciation for the importance of

self-expression.

Currently, she works as an Art and History Curatorial Assistant at the Albuquerque Museum, where she bridges her love for art and history with her community roots. Gally is also a published poet, weaving her cultural pride into her writing, styling, and artistic creativity. Whether through artwork, poetry, or fashion, Gally, continues to celebrate the richness of her identity and the appreciation of nostalgia.
